Conservative party’s leader, Andrew Scheer said that Prime Minister Trudeau threatened him by lawsuit following his comments over SNC Lavalin scandal.
Trudeau’s lawyer Julian Porter sent a letter to Scheer called “beyond the pale of fair debate & libellous” on 31st March.
Notably, Trudeau and his Liberals are accused of interfering in SNC Lavalin affair and judicial appointments. After that, they are facing huge continuous unease.
On Sunday, Scheer revealed the letter received by Porter, however, he received the letter on 31st March. Why so much delay?
“Andrew Scheer and the Conservatives have repeatedly made false and defamatory statements. We put him on notice that there are consequences for making completely false and libellous statements,” said Trudeau’s office regarding Scheer’s Statement.

Technically, no one can declare someone convict individually without any proper proof or judicial decision. So, Scheer can blame Trudeau and his party but declaring them as a sure convict is wrong. Allegations against Liberals aren’t legible without any proof.
Whereas, Scheer told reporters, “I believe this is an attempt to stifle criticism of Justin Trudeau. This is a bullying attempt to try to prevent me from doing my constitutional duty as leader of the opposition.”
Even Scheer is right, being an opponent he has right to speak over governmental issues.
As always, PM Justin Trudeau is refusing any misdoing by him or his officials.
Reportedly, Canadian ruling leaders have sued the opponent politicians for libel. As those politicians also made comment over legal issues outside the parliament. Notably, any comment remarked in the parliament immune of prosecution.
