Former Liberal cabinet ministers Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott revealed their politics plans. Raybould and Philpott will not run as Green Party candidates in the fall election.
The two have spoken many times with Green Party leader Elizabeth May about running her party. But still, they are not going to work as Greens candidates.
At April End, Raybould even attended the May’s wedding in Victoria. Her deed spread the rumours of her joining Greens.
Both Raybould and Philpott are independent MPs for Vancouver Granville and Markham Stouffville respectively. However, the two didn’t even clear the about being independent or joining some other party.

Notably, in Canadian political history, one-third of independent MPs have successfully been re-elected as MPs even after leaving the parties.
Canadian PM Justin Trudeau removed the MPs from Liberal Caucus due to their back betrayal and loss of trust between the party and the two members.
May was looking forward to the two ex-Liberals for the party as they both would have been perfect to faceoff Trudeau government. It may prove beneficial to Green Party leader Elizabeth May. But, former Liberal cabinet ministers denied running as Greens candidates.
May will heartily welcome party’s second MP into the House of Commons on Monday. The second party MP is Paul Manly, winner of Nanaimo-Ladysmith byelection in BC. Notably, the greens are spewing in the political world.
In PEI, the party rises as surging opponents after winning nine seats against other parties.
