Algoma Public Health has opened a second COVID-19 assessment centre in Sault Ste Marie.
The centre is located at 658 Second Line West – next to the Westend walk-in clinic – and is open Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Drop-ins are allowed and staff will determine if a swab is needed.
The health unit is asking that those going for an assessment to be patient and respectful of others and to pay attention to social distancing requirements and wear a mask.
APH is also reminding the public that testing is not appropriate for everyone and that people who have symptoms will be given priority.
If you have symptoms and go for testing, you are asked to go home immediately after your test and stay there until test results are available.
