CAMPBELLVILLE, Ont. — There will be an increase of racing over Christmas at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Woodbine Entertainment announced Monday it has received approval to switch races from its calendar to the holiday season. There will be live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Dec. 22, Dec. 28, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2021 and not March 25-27 as well as March 29, 2021.
Traditionally, Woodbine has taken a break from live harness racing after the annual Boxing Day matinee. This year’s intermission was originally scheduled for nine days from the end of December until the start of the new year.
The new break will be March 23-31, 2021, allowing track maintenance to be done prior to the resumption of racing in the spring.
