Toronto, Ontario – Everyone in the world is still dealing with Post-COVID19 cases. But yet there is another news coming out of Mongolia, China of a new Bacteria or Plague as it is called “Bubonic Plague”.One of the Notorious killers of all, this plague has a very deadly effect on humans.
According to the reports, the patient affected by this Virus is in Quarantine and being taken care of. There might be another “Suspected case” as officials of health department of china are calling it. It might develop into a plague if not handled properly. When the first case of Bubonic Plague was discovered back in 6th Century, it killed around 25-50 Million people. But even after the discovery of the treatment there are concerns about it because of its treatment is only able to help around 30 % – 50 % of the patients. With its death rate more than of what COVID19 has, it becomes major concern for Chinese government and the world as whole.
What is Bubonic plague and why it is still around ?
It is caused by Bacteria which is also known as “Yersinia pestis.” It has an infamous name ” Black Death” which you might have heard in documentaries talking about its brutal nature. Even after the treatment available, it has a Fatality rate of 40 – 90 %. This plague runs in the Rats, the usual species that is very normal in American, Asian, and many European households. Rats infecting the raw food, material, or any other substance which might lead to coming in contact with humans.

- High fever >39 °C (102.2 °F)
- Muscle cramps[12]
- Seizures
- Smooth, painful lymph gland swelling called a bubo, commonly found in the groin, but may occur in the armpits or neck, most often near the site of the initial infection (bite or scratch)
- Pain may occur in the area before the swelling appears

However, until now there is no scientific proof that it can become an Epidemic or plague. Unlike the old time the science and the awareness regarding sanitation is way more advanced. New treatments are coming out but we must be ready and keep ourselves prepared for these type of bacterias and virus in coming future.
