Two more BC NDP candidates have been named in Richmond: city councillor Kelly Greene in Richmond-Steveston and 2018 city councillor candidate Henry Yao in Richmond South Centre.
Greene became a city councillor in 2018 after finishing second in the 2017 provincial election, running against BC Liberal candidate John Yap in the same riding. This time around, she will take on former chamber of commerce president Matt Pitcairn.
Yao ran for city council in 2018 with the RITE Richmond party. He also acted as Coun. Chak Au’s campaign manager during his 2017 campaign for the Richmond South Centre riding, and now succeeds Au as the candidate for that riding, running against BC Liberal candidate Alexa Loo.
No other candidates have been announced in either riding at this time.
