CAMPBELLFORD – Work is slated to begin soon on the Campbellford Trent River Bridge.
Northumberland County anticipates starting the project Oct. 7.
The scope of work includes the rehabilitation of sidewalks and some minor masonry work, the county said.
Construction will occur at night between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday to Sunday.
The county said there will be traffic permitted throughout construction, but the access will be reduced to either one lane or two lanes with reduced lane widths of three metres at night. The bridge will be opened to two full lanes of traffic during the day. One sidewalk will remain open throughout the duration of the project.
The county expects the work to be completed by November.
