Air Canada is going through a network outage. It impacted several services such as airport operations, customer call centres, check in, and departure of passengers.
Reportedly, the outage will continue to cause delays and cancellations. The company advised customers to check flight status with the departure or arrival airport websites. Thus, people should probably avoid the company’s app and website.
On Wednesday, the aircraft was looking to introduce additional flights to their routes to accommodate the backlog from the significant technical issues.
A spokesperson Angela Mah said, “We can confirm airport systems are beginning to come back online, we’re expecting some flight delays and cancellations as a result of this, but we are working hard to move as many customers as possible this evening.”
Further, she said, “We thank our customers for their patience and apologize for the inconvenience”

Moreover, the airlines didn’t reveal the cause of network outage and how did so many flights affected by the same.
However, Air Canada at around 10:20 PM yesterday informed people about the issue via Twitter.
The airline noticed that passengers would not be able to check flight status, book flights and check in through the company’s website.
Toronto Pearson International Airport, Vancouver International Airport and Calgary International Airport were assisting Air Canada regarding the network outage.
Many upset and irritated passengers Took to Twitter to express inconvenience.
Flight got canceled, next one got delayed and then to top it all off brought me to my destination just to not land and now I’m back where I started, no accommodation were made by @AirCanada to help us, no hotel no food. Thank you @TorontoPearson
