British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin revealed their first ever electric vehicle at Auto Shanghai 2019. Aston Martin named its first EV Rapide E. Rapide E is recreated and redesigned from company’s previous Rapide. Let’s dig through the battery & other specs of Aston Martin Rapide E.
Aston Martin Rapide E replaces 6.0-litre V12 engine of Rapide with a high potential battery. You will get to see the amazing 10-inch digital display.
In addition, there is a rear diffuser which focuses on aero efficiency. Also, it has aluminium wheels particularly designed to increase efficiency along with brake cooling.
This first EV from the brand will get a Kevlar & carbon fibre wrapped 800V battery consisting of 5,600 Li-ion cells. This battery will produce massive 601hp power and 950Nm torque.

Interestingly, this battery comes up with the fast charging feature with 400V 50kW charger. Not just that, High voltage battery system of the car allows for much faster 800V 100kW charging. It will hit 60mph in less than four seconds, if fully charged.
The car offers 200 miles range but it depends on many substantial factors. Thus, the range may vary. However, the high voltage system of the car adds 310 miles of range in just an hour. 155 mph top speed of this EV is also satisfactory.
Excitedly, Aston Martin Rapide E is available for order. But, the company hasn’t yet disclosed the price of this upcoming car. Although, opportunist ordering the car can have pricing information.
Notably, only 155 models are slated for production under the company’s Lagonda brand.
