On Monday, four people were shot dead in Penticton, British Columbia. The police have arrested a 60-year old suspect. Two men & two women killed in this Canada shooting. Such gun violence is rare in Canada.
The four dead people and arrested suspect knew each other but gave no details. The motive of the shooting is still ambiguous.
According to police, they received a call about shooting information in downtown at 10:30 AM on Monday. While was en route to the scene, the second shooting happened.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a statement, “A man matching the suspect’s description turned himself into the Penticton RCMP detachment. The man remains in custody while the investigation progresses. Preliminary indications are this was a targeted incident”.

About an hour after shooting report, the suspect turned himself in.
RCMP regional commander Ted De Jager said, “Determining why this occurred is part of our ongoing investigation.”
One person was found killed at the north end while 3 others were at the south end.
Ted De Jager said, “I understand that this is a deeply troubling incident that has taken place in our community. Our hearts and thoughts are with all those impacted by this terribly tragic incident”.
