Halton police searching for prisoner accidentally released from Maplehurst

MILTON, Ont. — Halton police say they’re searching for a prisoner released by mistake from the Maplehurst Correctional Complex in Milton, Ont.
Amritpal Singh Aujla, 28, was last seen leaving the correctional complex on foot.
Police say they were told late Monday night that Aujla had been released in error.
Aujla is described as being five-foot-10, with a slim build, weighing approximately 170 pounds with black shoulder-length hair and a black beard.
Police say that when he was last seen he was wearing a black Tommy Hilfiger track suit with a large Tommy Hilfiger symbol printed in the middle of the chest.
He was also carrying a black backpack.
