Head-on collision on bridge leaves two dead in Val d’Or

Two drivers are dead after a collision on a bridge involving three vehicles in Val-d’Or, Que., Que, on Saturday morning.
Provincial police say a van veered out of its lane on the Thomson Bridge and struck a tractor-trailer in a head-on collision at 5 a.m., sparking a vehicle fire.
A third vehicle was unable to brake in time and struck the van from behind
Sûreté du Québec spokesman Sgt. Jean Raphael Drolet says the van driver died on the scene, and remains unidentified.
He says the semi driver, a man in his 50s, died in hospital.
The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
