TORONTO — Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating after a 33-year-old man was struck with a stun gun during a rally in Toronto on Saturday night.
The Special Investigations Unit says several officers were also injured during the incident.
The agency says police learned that a man had been jumping on cars, and “an interaction ensued” between officers and the man.
It says that’s when an officer used his stun gun on the man.
The agency says the man was arrested and taken to hospital.
It says the extent of his injuries are unknown.
