Two dead after car hits pedestrian in parking garage, drives off second floor

VAUGHAN, Ont. — Police north of Toronto say two people are dead after a car hit a pedestrian in a parking garage and then drove off the building’s second floor.
Investigators say the incident happened Thursday afternoon at around 1:15 p.m. in Vaughan, Ont.
They say a car with two occupants hit a woman walking on the second floor of a parking structure.
Police say the car then drove off the second floor of the garage and crashed.
Investigators say the female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car was rushed to hospital where he later died.
A passenger in the car was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
