On Wednesday, Thousands of rounds of ammunition seized from a home in Holmby Hills near Playboy Mansion. A man arrested as a suspect of illegal firearm transaction.
Federal agents and police raid the house at 4 AM. The property is a million dollar house near the Bel Air Mansion. Authorities acted on an anonymous tip following illegal firearms sales. Police arrested one man at the scene. However, the police didn’t reveal his name yet.
Police arrested the man as a suspect of violating state law. It outlaws the manufacture, collections and sales of high capacity rifles and assault weapons.
Pictures showed all the guns, handguns, rifles and shotguns on the driveway. A table was also stacked up with ammunition boxes.
Much of these ammunitions were modern however some even belongs to civil war time. The collection also includes 50-year-old weapons.
Police Lt. Chris Ramirez said, “I had never seen so many weapons in my career of 31 years. That’s such a big arsenal in a residence like this, in this type of neighbourhood. It’s astounding.”

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said there was no danger to the public.
The federal agency said, “ATF and LAPD have no reason to believe the public is in any danger.”
Not just this one, instead authorities searched multiple locations searched yesterday including a home on North Bunker Hill Avenue in Los Angeles.
While going towards Playboy Mansion, Tourists stopped there and asked reporters about the incident. Thus, traffic increased in the area during rush hour.
ATF said in a statement that agents searched the home after discovering an individual “conducting illegal firearms transaction outside the scope of the federal firearm license that the individual posses.”
