On Monday, Federal prosecutors accused 12 wealthy people, actress Felicity Huffman and one coach of participating in the college entrance exam fraud. Convicts will plead guilty for bribing and doing fraud as US college admission scandal.

Ghastly, this also includes $25 million bribes for securing their children’s seat in famous universities.

In March, 33 parents including Huffman were charged with participating in the fraud scheme in order to secure their children’s seat in Universities of Georgetown, Yale and Southern California.

Actress Felicity Huffman starred in “Desperate Housewives”.  She is the wife of actor William H Macy.

On Monday, the actress said she is “ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community.”

She further added, “My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her.”

Huffman contributed around $15,000 to Singer’s foundation. In exchange, they will correct her daughter’s answer in the SAT entrance exam.

Now, under federal sentencing guideline, the actress has to face 4-10 month jail with $20,000 fine.

US College Admission Scandal – Convicts Plead Guilty:

The former head coach of men’s tennis at the University of Texas, Michael Center also agreed to plead guilty. He designated a child as a student by accepting the bribe.

Last week, two other parents such as Gordon Caplan, former co-chairman of a law firm disclosed reaching plea deals.

Additionally, President of California real estate development firm & his wife also agreed to co-operate in the ongoing investigation.

Not just that, twelve other parents also agreed to plead guilty.

According to authorities, college admission scandal donned under California college admission consultant William “Rick” Singer’s facilitation.

He also pleaded guilty for bribing coaches to present some children as fake athletic admission. Moreover, he also pleaded for facilitating the cheating scam.
