Virginia mass shooting resulted in the killing of 12 people and several injured at a government building. However, the authorities did not release the identities of the dead. Accountably, four injured people also include a police officer. But, there are no reports regarding the severity of injuries.
The suspect is a long term and current Virginia Beach city employee that fired indiscriminately in a public utility building. Also, the unidentified gunman killed during the exchange of gunfire with police.
Virginia contains a lot of government buildings and the report of gunfire began after 20:00 GMT. Police locked down the area and evacuated all the employees.
Police Chief James Cervera, one victim was in a car whereas others were on the building’s three floors.
The attacker killed in an exchange of gunfire with police as soon as four police officers entered the building.

Along with the local authorities, the FBI is also present at the scene helping & investigating local people and shooting respectively.
Cervera said, “I want you to know that during this gun battle, basically, the officers stopped this individual from committing more carnage in that building.”
An officer who was injured in the mass shooting is safe due to his bulletproof vest. US President Donald Trump has been informed following Virginia mass shooting.
According to the US tracking website Gun Violence Archive, it is the 150th mass shooting in the US so far in 2019.
Noticeably, Virginia Governor, Senator and Mayor expressed their devastation on Virginia mass shooting. Senator Tim Kaine & Governor Ralph Northam shared their heartfelt condolences via Twitter.
Virginia Mayor, Robert Dyer said, “This is the most devastating day in the history of Virginia Beach.
